Custom Settings in BQool Repricing Central allow you to customize which competitors your repricing rules consider based on fulfillment type, Seller ID, shipping options, item condition, and seller performance metrics.
By configuring these settings, you can create a more targeted repricing strategy, avoid competing with unwanted sellers, and maintain greater control over your pricing decisions.
Important: Custom Settings take precedence over Repricing Settings and Advanced Settings and remain applicable across repricing strategies, including Get Buy Box and Stay in Buy Box.
When a listing wins the Buy Box and the Stay in Buy Box strategy is activated, the system will continue to apply the configured Custom Settings when evaluating eligible competitors.
Compete with Seller Fulfilled Prime Option
What Is Seller Fulfilled Prime?
The SFP options determine how your own SFP offers and competitors' SFP offers are classified as either FBA or FBM for repricing purposes.
These classifications are considered when evaluating applicable repricing rules, including Get Buy Box and Stay in Buy Box.
For example:
- If you set your SFP offers as FBA and competitors' SFP offers as FBA, the system will evaluate the applicable repricing conditions as FBA vs. FBA.
- If you set your SFP offers as FBM and competitors' SFP offers as FBA, the system will evaluate the applicable repricing conditions as FBM vs. FBA.
Custom Settings remain applicable when the Stay in Buy Box strategy is activated.
How to Configure SFP Settings
Under Custom Settings > Competitors, you can configure two options:
- Set my SFP offers as: FBA or FBM
- Set competitors' SFP offers as: FBA or FBM
These options allow you to specify whether your own SFP offers and competitors' SFP offers should be treated as FBA or FBM for repricing purposes.
Examples
Scenario 1: Your SFP Offer vs. a Competitor's SFP Offer
- Your SFP offer is configured as FBA.
- Your competitor's SFP offer is configured as FBA.
- The system classifies the comparison as FBA vs. FBA when evaluating the applicable repricing conditions.
Scenario 2: Your SFP Offer vs. a Competitor's SFP Offer
- Your SFP offer is configured as FBM.
- Your competitor's SFP offer is configured as FBA.
- The system classifies the comparison as FBM vs. FBA when evaluating the applicable repricing conditions.
Important: SFP classifications are part of Custom Settings and should not be understood as settings that apply exclusively to Advanced Settings. Their effect depends on the applicable repricing rules and strategies.
What Happens If No Competitors Match Your Settings?
Custom Settings allow you to narrow down which competing offers are considered for repricing.
For example, if you configure a rule to compete only with FBA offers, but the listing has only FBM competitors, those FBM offers will not meet the specified fulfillment-type condition.
The system's subsequent repricing behavior depends on how the applicable rule handles situations with no eligible competitors.
How Custom Settings Interact with Stay in Buy Box
The Stay in Buy Box strategy is designed to manage your price after your listing wins the Buy Box.
Custom Settings define additional conditions for evaluating competitors, while Stay in Buy Box determines the pricing strategy applied when your offer holds the Buy Box.
The interaction between these settings depends on the applicable repricing logic.
2. Exclude Specific Sellers or Compete Only with Selected Sellers
Not all competitors are equally relevant to your pricing strategy.
Some sellers may consistently offer unusually low prices, while others may operate multiple Amazon seller accounts and prefer to avoid competing against their own listings.
The Seller ID feature in Custom Settings allows you to control which sellers are included in or excluded from your repricing competition.
When Should You Use This Feature?
Avoid Aggressive Price Competition
Some competitors may repeatedly lower their prices to levels that are not aligned with your pricing strategy.
By excluding these sellers, you can prevent their offers from being considered when your repricing rules evaluate eligible competitors.
Avoid Competing with Your Own Accounts
If you operate multiple Amazon seller accounts, you may want to prevent those accounts from competing against each other.
For example, if you manage several seller accounts offering the same product, you can exclude the Seller IDs associated with your other accounts.
Target Specific Competitors
You can also choose to compete only with selected sellers whose pricing strategies are relevant to your business.
Available Seller ID Options
- Exclude: Prevent specified Seller IDs from being considered as eligible competitors.
- Include Only: Limit eligible competitors to the specified Seller IDs.
How to Add Seller IDs
Step 1: Enable the Seller ID Setting
Under Custom Settings, enable the Seller ID filter.
Select either Exclude or Include Only from the dropdown menu.
Click Add Seller ID.
Step 2: Locate the Seller ID
Visit the seller's Amazon storefront or seller profile page.
Look for the seller= parameter in the page URL. The value following this parameter is the Seller ID.
Step 3: Add the Seller ID
Enter the Seller ID and click Add.
The Seller ID will appear in the list of selected sellers.
Repeat these steps to add additional Seller IDs as needed.
Tip: Use Exclude when you want to avoid specific sellers, or Include Only when you want to focus your repricing strategy on a selected group of competitors.
3. Delivery and Item Conditions
Custom Settings also allow you to refine competitor selection based on shipping options, product availability, handling time, and item condition.
These filters help you compare your offers with competitors that meet your preferred criteria.
Shipping Options
You can choose to exclude or compete only with sellers offering specific shipping services.
Available options include:
- Free Shipping: Exclude or include only sellers who offer free shipping.
- Expedited Shipping: Exclude or include only sellers who offer expedited shipping.
For example, if you want to compete only with sellers offering free shipping, select Include Only for the free shipping option.
Product Availability and Handling Time
You can further refine competitor selection based on product availability and fulfillment handling time.
Exclude Back-ordered Offers
Enable this option to exclude sellers whose product availability indicates a future date.
This helps prevent back-ordered offers from being considered when evaluating eligible competitors.
Exclude by Handling Time
You can exclude sellers based on their handling time, with available thresholds ranging from 2 days to 3 weeks.
This allows you to avoid competing with offers that require longer processing times before shipment.
Item Condition
You can specify which item conditions should be considered when evaluating competing offers.
Available options include:
- Same
- Same or Better
- Used
- Collectible
Same Condition
The system considers offers that match your listing's applicable item condition.
Same or Better Condition
The system considers offers with the same or a better item condition.
For example, if your product is listed as Used – Very Good, the system will consider offers classified as:
- Used – Like New
- Used – Very Good
Offers classified as Used – Good or Used – Acceptable will not be included under this condition.
Used or Collectible
When selecting Used or Collectible, you can manually choose the subconditions you want to compete against.
This provides additional flexibility when managing repricing rules for secondhand or collectible products.
4. Exclude Sellers Based on Seller Performance Metrics
Seller reputation and customer feedback can influence purchasing decisions.
Custom Settings allow you to exclude competitors based on their Amazon seller feedback metrics.
Positive Feedback Rating
You can exclude sellers whose positive feedback rating falls below a specified percentage.
For example, if you set the minimum positive feedback rating to 90%, sellers with a rating below 90% will be excluded from eligible competitors.
Positive Feedback Count
You can also exclude sellers whose total positive feedback count falls below a specified threshold.
For example, if you set the minimum feedback count to 100, sellers with fewer than 100 positive feedback ratings will be excluded.
These options allow you to focus on competing with sellers who meet your preferred reputation criteria.
5. Best Practices for Using Custom Settings
To make the most of Custom Settings, consider the following recommendations:
Choose Relevant Competitors
Use Seller ID filters to focus on competitors whose pricing strategies are relevant to your business.
Consider Fulfillment Differences
Review how FBA, FBM, and SFP offers are classified to ensure your repricing rules align with your fulfillment strategy.
Evaluate Shipping and Product Conditions
Use delivery, availability, and item condition filters to make more meaningful price comparisons.
Review Seller Performance
Consider excluding sellers with low feedback ratings or limited feedback history if they do not align with your competitive strategy.
Review Your Settings Regularly
Competitor availability, fulfillment methods, and seller performance may change over time. Periodically review your Custom Settings to ensure they continue to support your pricing objectives.
